Key Responsibilities
Project Development
• Own the end-to-end development of assigned projects, managing timelines, milestones, deliverables, and cross-functional workstreams from early-stage development through to financial close and construction handover
• Lead project planning and scheduling; identify critical path activities, track progress, and proactively resolve bottlenecks across different workstreams
• Manage and coordinate external advisors including legal counsel, technical consultants, environmental specialists, and permitting agents to ensure timely delivery of project milestones
• Prepare and present regular project status updates and milestone reports
Commercial Analysis & Structuring
• Develop and optimize commercial structures for projects, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and lender requirements
• Analyze market conditions, regulatory frameworks, and pricing mechanisms to inform and refine commercial models
• Lead negotiations with off takers, landowners, grid operators, and government agencies to achieve balanced commercial outcomes
• Review contractual terms, risk allocation, and execution mechanisms to protect the company's strategic and commercial interests
• Coordinate preparation and negotiation of key project agreements
• Assess and address key bankability factors, including offtake structure, revenue certainty, and contract risk
• Ensure project agreements and structures meet lender requirements; support fulfilment of Conditions Precedent for financial close
Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, project management, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous. CFA is a plus
Experience
• 5+ years in project development or project management in the energy, renewables, or infrastructure sector
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary projects through permitting, commercial, and financing stages
• Exposure to project finance transactions, including PPAs, financing agreements, and financial close processes
• Experience engaging with lenders, DFIs, or institutional investors on infrastructure or energy projects is preferred
